As a pioneer in the Agile Development and IT space, it makes sense that Susan Gibson would become one of the first Temenos facilitators. And because of her pioneering spirit, it’s no surprise that she would see the opportunity to apply this methodology to helping women and teams share their stories and make more authentic connections.

With over thirty years experience in the tech industry – from developer to project manager and pioneering Agile coach to Temenos Facilitator, Susan consistently seeks ways to bring authenticity and compassion to software and product delivery. Following the Agile Manifesto, she values individuals and interactions over tools and adapting to change over following ‘the plan’.

Susan works with Fortune 500 companies using Agile and Temenos to activate change and true cultural transformation. As a Temenos Facilitator, Susan also leads transformative 3-day labs that apply these same methodologies on a more personal level. She is a major contributor to the Urban Campfire and G Day For Girls events, and the STIA+ Conference, as well as speaking at several organizational development conferences around the country. Her gentle insights are always perceptive and she has a knack for bringing together groups of seemingly incongruent teams.

Susan’s top 3 early influences: growing up in rural Caribou, Maine and then traveling the world; the supportive guidance of her grandmother, Mary Tupper; and her friend and mentor, the beloved storyteller Coleen Salley.

Susan’s Clean Slate: A failed work experience was a blessing in disguise when it pushed Susan to the realization that she needed more freedom in her career, pushing her to go independent and help her clients find clarity and create change.

Susan’s Vision: Susan envisions bringing more women to IT and helping women both professionally and personally find transformative clarity through storytelling and her Temenos Vision Labs. Additionally, Susan runs the Susan Gibson Mary Tupper (SGMT) Foundation, with the mission to help girls achieve their hopes and dreams.
